logo for YeswareIn this episode of Online Biz Insiders, Mary shares insights into Yesware – an email template plug-in for Gmail or other cloud-based Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.

First though, you’ll  hear a bit of a rant that Carla and Mary share about their cats’ recent antics. Apparently Mercury Retrograde has made our cats crazy: waking us in the middle of the night doing calesthentics, running cat trains, and jumping from furniture on to our heads. We love our cats, but not when they are crazy – LOL! If you want to skip over our little kitty conversation, skip ahead to the 4 minute mark, where we begin our rave of Yesware.

Mary discovered the Yesware “Email for Salespeople” tool in an attempt to do a better job of following up with prospects. She installed Yesware in her Gmail (but it also integrates with other CRMs), and it created a custom tool bar that allows one to take a written email and create a re-usable template from it!  It marks in red the “merge fields” – the area like “Dear <Prospect>” and “thank you for your interest in <My awesome service here>”, so that you are able to create honest to goodness email templates!  The bonus features are that it creates a note in the contact record for the person to whom you sent the email and it also tracks the open-rate.

Not only can you use it for prospecting, but you can also create email templates for current customers, and following up with past customers.

Mary also integrates Gmail and Yesware with her other favorite Boomerang, to then schedule the timing of her emails – awesomesauce!

Yesware is a free download.  The free version allows you up to 100 trackable emails per month, but there are upgraded options for teams as well.
